Cedar Gabel Pier and Beam Porch Restoration
This restoration project took us to Roll, Oklahoma to a 8 year old cedar gabel pier and beam porch with lean-to style porches off either side. When the house was built the cedar beams were never treated. The homeowner was concerned about the lifespan of the untreated cedar beams and asked if we could restore them to help perserve and protect them from the elements. Using a chemical softwash to treat the mold and grime buildup on the cedar surface. the next step was to use a chemical to brighten the cedar so that the stain treatment would look more natural rather than too dark. The final process to the project was to wait for the cedar to completely dry and then to apply the stain/sealer. After two coats of stain/sealer were applied and had time to dry the end results were incredible.

I hired Legends Powerwashing Solutions to powerwash and strip and stain the cedar on my front porch. It was put up in 2014 and was never sealed correctly, so it had turned almost completely black in color. I wanted a more natural cedar look to go with my house. They came out and powerwashed everything down with a solution and took it back to its origional look. we then decided that it needed a stain and sealer applied to achieve the look we were going for. They applied this after allowing the wood to dry and it is absolutlely BEAUTIFUL! I am happier with it now than I have ever been. They were very professional and discussed the options to bring my wood to my liking with knowledge of products that I didnt even know existed. they were very careful with their surrounding and did no damage to other items, i.e. flowers, plants. They also left the area in the same shape as before when they arrived, not leaving a mess behind. I will be hiring them again, when the time again comes to stain and seal my wood.
